My name is Jitske Habekotté. I am an illustrator and indie game developer located in the Netherlands.

After two years of medical school and one year of behavioral sciences I found my true passion and started studying Game Art at the Breda University of Applied Sciences (previously NHTV) where I graduated Cum Laude in 2018.

In that same year I also started working as an indie game developer at SkogsArt Studio.

On the 10th of July 2019 I completed the Master Game Technology at the Breda University of Applied Sciences with a 9.5/10 average. I can now, proudly, call myself a Master of Science.

I am very enthusiastic about our industry. I love being able to contribute to the vast and ever growing world of games and visual media, whether that is through art or through management and research skills.

Drawing and painting have always been part of my life and I have thoroughly enjoyed making digital and traditional art. I can work professionally in both 2D and 3D.
I enjoy being in a management position and have been an Art Director on project Aurora and a combined Team Lead/Art Director and Vision Holder on The Watcher.

During my internship at metricminds I was in charge of setting up a new project for the company complete with research, concept art, and a business plan.

Over the course of the years I have also worked on 3D modelling, sculpting, texturing, and creating shaders in the Unreal Engine.

I work very well in a team, I am sociable, and can also be an independent, hard worker.

I have always wanted to be able to work on projects that explore the possibilities of our industry and tell the stories I believe in, through the art that I love. As an indie game developer at SkogsArt Studio, I feel that I can make this wish a reality.

I believe our industry has the potential to bring about strong emotions and inspire new ideas or visions through our work. It would be a shame not to utilize this to the fullest.
